Outside magazine's 2009 Guide to the best adventure websites

There's a saying that claims that knowledge is power. So the best informed folks out there are those best fitted to adapt, to take advantage of situations, to best plan out their upcoming activities.

Consider the concept behind this blog, providing pertinent and useful information to folks that want go Outside. Then consider the name of one of the USA's top adventuring magazine's : Outside magazine.

I see a connection.

(Maybe it's just me.)

In any case, Outside magazine has recently published their 2009 Guide to the Web : the 100 best adventuring websites. It's filled with incredibly useful links and information, ranging from
  1. travel (booking, planning, finding a place to stay),
  2. sports (events, by type of sport),
  3. adventure and environment (news about major expeditions, environmental activist and information),
  4. health (training programs, nutrition, cooking, recipes),
  5. gear (shopping, jobs, rental and repair),
  6. weather forecasting (kind of self explanatory),
  7. gadgets (maps, widgets, networking),
  8. and finally, phones (ok this one I don't give a flying shite about).
The amount of useful information included in this guide is incredible. I know I have several new bookmarks in my Firefox browser!

Ciao,

Marc
